CCA’s Open Research Plans and Nobilum’s Commercial Boundaries
CCA is planned to develop as an open-source research project, allowing appropriate theory, questions, and evidence to be discussed publicly. Nobilum models, Brain, and other commercial implementations not explicitly opened remain closed source. These boundaries are explained separately.
Figure:Open research and commercial boundaries checked as of 2026-10-28.
A future opening is not an existing license
When the first-batch material was checked, the CCA repository was private and had no root license file. The public can read the project introduction, but this does not mean the whole repository is open or that permission to copy, use, or distribute its contents has been granted.
What is opened, when, and under which license must follow the formally approved release list and authorization documents. No release date is set here, and an intention to open research cannot substitute for a formal license.
What can be explained publicly now
Checked research motivations, public concepts and technical principles, stage progress, and limitations can help readers understand the project. Capability reuse and on-demand computation, for example, can be described as goals. C, W, and L can be explained through their confirmed intended roles; a diagram should identify itself as a conceptual illustration, not a commercial implementation.
Public explanations must retain the conditions on the evidence. As of 2026-10-27, CCA’s core semantics and complete V3 had not passed the relevant acceptance review. Some local arguments have support only under their respective conditions. The end of a review process is not acceptance of the complete theory, and a research vision is not a delivered product capability.
Commercial implementations remain closed
Model weights, training and learning recipes and data, implementation source code, internal structure and operational details, unpublished experiments, credentials, and private configurations are outside this release scope. Internal research drafts, conversations, review materials, and handoff packages are not automatically published with the website introduction.
CCA’s future open research plan does not automatically change Nobilum’s commercial confidentiality boundary. Content whose disclosure status is unclear needs verification first; information already confirmed suitable for disclosure can continue to be explained.
